Opinion: British Comedy is much funnier than American Comedy

You heard me, I said it. In my thoughts I find the comedy released by the British far funnier. Iconic comical history has been produced from famous shows such as only fools and horses.

Now don’t get me wrong, American comedy shows such as the big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother are some of my favourites. The running jokes and storylines are intriguing and make me laugh. But I feel sometimes the jokes rely on the canned laughter noise to get a reaction. In some of the newer American released comedies, such as Young Sheldon - the best Jokes I feel were shown in the trailer. (I did originally try to name a comedy I watched one episode of, but unfortunately it was so unmemorable that I could not find it)

British comedy for me brings its laughter by mocking realistic situations and people (satirical comedy) some of my favourite shows being Outnumbered, Friday Night Dinner and Harry Hills TV Burp.

Both Britain and the US have TV shows that have sparked a massive fanbase following alongside merchandise and events, however, British comedy shows will forever remain my favourite over mass produced American comedies that in my opinion are very similar both in style and structure.

Strictly Between Partners: Seann and Katya's Kiss

If you are like me, you'll have been shocked – BAMBOOZLED even. The Strictly curse has struck again, its next victim being British comedian Seann Walsh.

As an avid Strictly Fan, I have been devastated that I have not been eagerly watching each weeks episode due to being a uni student with a lack of a TV licence. Though for those of you lucky enough to be snuggling up with a cup of tea may have been very much impressed so far. There is a plethora of different celebrities this year, including youtube star Joe Sugg and author Katie Piper.

Last week was 'Movie Week' (an avid favourite among you strictly fans) I was extremely impressed with Seann Walsh and Katya Jones' dance inspired by The Matrix. However, (shock horror!) their joy soon turned sour and twitter began blowing up...

The Low Down

The comedian and his dance partner were caught in a drunken kiss, causing shame and scandal on the pair after such a triumph. The publisher of the pictures was the popular British paper, The Sun. Since being published, the twitter community have had plenty to say, many feeling sorry for the dance couples respective partners to others showing pure disgust. The pair have apologised both on their social media accounts as well as doing a live apology as a pair on the weekday Strictly show - It Takes Two.

The Reaction to Seann and Katya's Kiss

Viewers of the show have tweeted that the comedian should be voted out due to the incident. BBC presenter, Nicky Campbell claims the pair will be "kicked off Strictly Come Dancing'. Is this an overreaction on the viewers part, or a genuine possibility?

From the snippety reaction of last week, the pair will need to shake, rattle and roll about two metres apart at all times in order to keep their place! (Personally I think the pair should be given a second chance to prove they can remain professional whilst creating jaw dropping dances, did you see that slow motion?!)

What is your view on the situation? And what do you think will become of the dance couple? (Bonus Question! What has been your favourite dance so far?)

This is the Giggly Brit, signing off with a belly ache from giggling!
